How it works
The Blue Elephant is an easy-to-use interactive audiovisual system that healthcare professionals can use to present films, songs, games and activities in hospital environments. The Blue Elephant provides carefully selected, age- and situation-relevant content that healthcare professionals can present before and during hospital procedures. Developed and tested with children and healthcare professionals in hospital settings.
Content, mobility and interaction
The Blue Elephant moves easily between treatment rooms and can be used without cables. It projects images, songs, films and games onto a wall or ceiling, with content selected for the child’s age and the hospital situation.
The Blue Elephant can respond to the child’s movements and blowing, allowing the child to interact with selected games and activities.
The solution has been used with more than 1,000 children in hospital settings.
Purpose and scope
The Blue Elephant is an interactive audiovisual system that provides age- and situation-relevant films, songs, games and activities for use in hospital environments. It is not intended to diagnose, monitor, prevent, treat or alleviate a disease or medical condition, and it does not provide information for clinical decisions.
